yesterday our family started telling friends that we will be moving to pensacola. my husband has been offered the position of executive director of children's home society, northwest division. he was not looking for another position; we were not looking to move. but GOD had other plans for our family! plans we had no idea were in the works! more CHANGE!!!!
although this was a tough decision for us to make, there is no doubt in our mind that this is God's hand at work in our lives. He set too many things in place for this not to be of HIM! our oldest son is in college in pensacola, a decided bonus, but not the determining factor in our decision! my parents and family are here, and it will be very hard to leave my hometown. our family has lived here 18 years, all of ethan's life!
and so yesterday forrest had to take the day off of school, because he is decidedly NOT happy about the move. we walked on the beach a bit....getting a little fresh air.....allowing him to process what's going on....panama city is all he has ever known; our current house is pretty much all he remembers. he is having a tough time with this decision..... although tim starts december 1st, the boys and i will stay here until school is out in june. we do not want to take forrest out of school in the middle of his 5th grade year; and wyatt's early intervention therapies are so awesome that we do not want to change those either!
we do not know what lies ahead for wyatt's therapies in pensacola. he has specialists already over there, and we know that as he transitions out of the early intervention program that God will guide and direct us as we make decisions for the next phase of his education and therapies! we covet your prayers during this time of HUGE CHANGE for our family!
Wowzers! I'll be praying for Forrest especially. It's a tough age to move. But it sounds like a great opportunity for Tim.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm praying for smooth and easy transition y'all. It will be easier for us together some. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll keep all of you in my prayers...especially Forrest. And BTW...that last photo is COOL!
ReplyDeleteIf God wills, He does provide, Penny. My prayers are with you guys during this transition. I suspect, however, it will all fall into place and amaze everyone, including Forrest. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that last photo!! Good luck with everything - while change is hard, I bet it will be good!
ReplyDeleteWow! You will certainly be missed. You have had such a positive influence on many people and I know you will spread that wherever you go. You and Tim have so much to share with people. Congrats to him on the new career. Glad you will be here a bit longer - selfish on my part!!
ReplyDeleteYou might want to look in the Pace area when you start looking for a home. We love it here. Its an easy commute. wink wink. ;)
